Official Family Prayer for World Meeting of Families 2018

God, our Father,
We are brothers and sisters in Jesus your Son,
One family, in the Spirit of your love.

Bless us with the joy of love.

Make us patient and kind,
gentle and generous,
welcoming to those in need.
Help us to live your forgiveness and peace.

Protect all families with your loving care,
Especially those for whom we now pray:

[We pause and remember family members and others by name].

Increase our faith,
Strengthen our hope,
Keep us safe in your love,
Make us always grateful for the gift of love that we share.
This we ask, through Christ Our Lord,
Amen.

Mary, mother and guide, pray for us.
Saint Joseph, father and protector, pray for us.
Saints Joachim and Anne, pray for us.
Saints Louis and Zélie Martin, pray for us.

Words of St Thérèse and her parents Saints Louis and Zélie Martin

E Words of St Thérèse
DGod gave me a Father and Mother more worthy of Heaven than of Earth.

....God Our Father loves us always, absolutely, unfailingly, eternally.

How great is the power of prayer!

Until my coming to Carmel, I had never fathomed the depths of the treasures hidden in the Holy Face.

Jesus does not demand great actions from us but simply surrender and gratitude.

MY VOCATION IS LOVE!

I understood that without love all words are nothing.

I am not dying; I am entering into life.

I feel that my mission is about to begin, my mission to make God loved as I love Him, to teach souls my little way.
I go to Him with confidence and love… C

A Words of Saints Louis and Zélie Martin

...Thérèse, my little Queen, entered Carmel yesterday! God alone could demand such a sacrifice, but He's helping me so powerfully that through my tears, my heart abounds with joy. (St Louis Martin)

The best thing to do is to put everything in the hands of God and await the outcome in peace and abandonment to His Will. (St Zélie Martin)

Everything I'm seeing is splendid, but it remains an earthly beauty and our hearts will not be at all satisfied until they see the infinite beauty that is God. (St Louis Martin)

I like to think about the supernatural, it raises my soul towards Heaven. (St Zélie Martin)

What I want is that the Will of God be done. (St Louis Martin)

We must be open to generously accepting God's Will, whatever it may be, because it will always be what's best for us. (St Zélie Martin)

Prayer for our Family

God our almighty Father,
we ask you to bless our family.
Following the example of the Martin Family,
may we never give up when life is difficult,
may we have your strength and healing when health is poor,
may the Eucharist be the summit of our lives,
may prayer be our daily strength,
may the Trinity be the source of our love.
May our family remain united throughout the years,
especially when we are far from each other.
We ask this with faith and confidence
through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Saints Louis, Zélie and Thérèse, pray for us.
